Celebrating LEAP YEAR with 5 New Bands, Added to the Roster!

Updated: Feb 28

February was a busy month, to say the least, but I had one more day to share! Leap Year is unique, just like the 5 new bands I am NOW representing! Each band is different from the next. Ranging from old-school metal to alternative, and goth, all the way to Southern Rock with Country Soul!

  1. Blacktop Mojo "Classic Rock Meets Southern Grunge"

Described as a mix of Soundgarden and Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blacktop Mojo incorporates heavy, sludgy, rock mixed with sultry blues. Formed in late 2012 in the small town of Palestine, Texas by vocalist Matt James and drummer Nathan Gillis, Blacktop Mojo has coined the term “Texas Grunge” to describe their one-of-a-kind sound.

A unique blend of sludgy grooves, classic rock guitar riffs, and southern metal shredding sets Blacktop Mojo somewhere between dirty, heavy rock and roll mixed with sensual and carnal blues. Drawing on a multitude of genres and influences such as Alice In Chains, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Tool, Bill Withers, Stone Temple Pilots, Bob Seger, to Etta James, Blacktop Mojo combines styles of the past with a modern edge for a unique sound that can only be experienced through listening.

Blacktop Mojo's next single "As The Lights Fade" comes out on MARCH 1ST!

Pre-save the single here and be sure to catch Blacktop Mojo on tour from April to August, performing shows across the U.S. such as Richmond, Colorado Springs, and Pensacola.

2. Black Label Society Drummer Jeff Fabb Set to Release Three New Upcoming Singles

Highly respected drummer and multi-instrumentalist Jeff Fabb found his path in heavy metal and hard rock scenes, with his “claim to fame” in drumming for iconic rock bands such as In This Moment, Filter, and Sixx AM, and Black Label Society.

COVID was a big catalyst for wanting to pursue his solo project, and he worked tirelessly to release his heavily anticipated solo album “Stealing Souls” in 2023. His debut album is highly regarded for combining a booming voice with slamming guitar and drums to create an album full of textures such as hard rock, rock, metal, grunge, and alternative rock. With slower tracks like “As the Wind Blows”, Fabb tunes into his more classic influences, and tunes into his harder rock influences with “Reaper”. With influences ranging from Alice In Chains, Mad Season, Soundgarden, Black Sabbath, and Tool, to Led Zeppelin, Fabb creates a unique sound reminiscent of many great names in rock, while adding his own unique flair to everything he creates.

Jeff Fabb's next single "See No Evil" is set to release on March 8th.

3. Blues Metal Queen ANDRY Launches Her Solo Career with Debut Album “Skies”

Emerging on the scene in 2013, ANDRY founded her band The Harps, and took Greece by storm by winning a blind audition on The Voice with her cover of Deep Purple’s “Burn”. Continuing her success, ANDRY released her album “Love Strikes Doves” with the Harps and was featured as guest vocalist on several albums, including The Vivaldi Project and progressive metal act Pyramid, where she duetted with Tim Ripper Owens on the smash song Stigma. Since then, ANDRY has taken her solo career by the horns, releasing the title track off her highly anticipated debut album “Skies” in 2023.

Her music features a uniquely powerful feminine prowess, that takes from inspirations ranging from Ronnie James to Dio and Christina Aguilera. She centers her sound around the mantra: “One chooses her own destiny. Are you a slave to your emotions or your goals? Life is like a jungle, you eat or you’ll be eaten.”

Andry's album release "SKIES" debuts March 6th.

4. Sister Kill Cycle Goth Rock Band Explores Textures Across New Wave, Metal, and Classic Rock in Their 20+ Year-Long Career

With influences ranging from Alice Cooper, Devin Townsend, Trent Reznor, Hans Zimmer, Rick Wakeman, Neurotech, Randy Rhoads, to Frank Zappa, Sister Kill Cycle combines textures from many genres to create nontraditional mainstream goth and metal music, such as the use of the keytar with an industrial sensibility.

Their unique sound is matched with an unforgettable stage presence, often compared to Marilyn Manson for their over-the-top aesthetic, and SKC has been captivating audiences since they formed in 2001. Sharing stages with some of the biggest names in rock, such as FILTER, Sevendust, Mushroomhead, and Nonpoint, and performing at countless festivals across the country such as Locobazooka Gothstock, and Spooky Empire/Screamfest, SKC has gained notoriety as one of the best modern goth rock bands of this generation.

Rising star, award-winning songwriter and force of nature Annie Davis is a genre-blending mix of Joan Jett, Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift and the Go-Go’s with a side of 80’s Hair Metal, 90’s Alt-Rock and Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, resulting in the most original new artist in years!

The band’s debut album, Sticks & Stones was released in May 2023 by indie powerhouse Cleopatra Records and includes the award-winning song “Somethin’ in the Water” and crowd favorites “Bama”, “God Save the Queen”, and “Born Pretty”.
