OC Weekly's "OC's Rock 'n' Roll Publicist" Raquel Figlo Marries Brian Bell in an All-Star Rock Wedding Featuring David Ellefson, Todd Kerns, Plus Keith St. John, Miss Miranda & DJ Skum Love

DANA POINT, Calif. — When OC Weekly dubbed Raquel Figlo "OC's Rock 'n' Roll Publicist," it wasn't just a headline—it reflected a career spanning more than 25 years immersed in the hard rock and heavy metal community. On June 27, 2026, that community came together at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel to celebrate one of its own as Raquel married businessman and music enthusiast Brian Bell in what guests unanimously described as one of the most unforgettable rock weddings ever staged.

Rather than hiring wedding entertainers, the couple invited many of their friends from the rock world to help tell their story.

The ceremony was officiated by David Ellefson, legendary former co-founding bassist of Megadeth and one of Raquel's closest longtime friends. Years ago, Raquel asked David that if she ever met the love of her life, he would officiate her wedding. On June 27, he fulfilled that promise before family, friends, and fellow musicians.

The ceremony opened like a concert.

As Raquel and her bridal party walked down the aisle overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Todd Kerns—best known as bassist and vocalist for Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators—led an all-star band through a live performance of Guns N' Roses' "November Rain," the bride's favorite song and a lifelong dream she had envisioned since she was a teenager.

Kerns was joined by an exceptional lineup featuring:

  • Zach Throne (guitar)

  • Blas Elias (drums, Trans-Siberian Orchestra)

  • Jimmie Romero (guitar)

The band continued with a full hour of live music during cocktail hour after receiving special approval from The Ritz-Carlton and the City of Dana Point to perform outdoors—turning the luxury resort into a true rock venue overlooking the Pacific.

Then came the surprises.

David Ellefson stepped back onto the stage—this time with bass in hand—to perform two songs alongside Todd Kerns and the band.

Later, powerhouse vocalist Keith St. John made an unexpected appearance, joining the musicians for an impromptu performance that had guests crowding the dance floor. St. John attended the wedding alongside designer Sherri Lu, founder of Riot Stitch, who also stood beside Raquel as one of her bridesmaids.

The evening continued with an electrifying performance from internationally acclaimed burlesque artist Miss Miranda, whose signature blend of classic Hollywood glamour, vintage cabaret, and modern burlesque transformed the reception into an unforgettable theatrical spectacle. Known for captivating audiences with sophisticated, high-energy performances, Miss Miranda brought a touch of old-school rock decadence to the celebration, seamlessly fitting the evening's luxurious yet rebellious spirit.

Keeping the energy alive well into the night was legendary Southern California DJ DJ Skum Love, a respected fixture in the hard rock and metal scene for decades. Known for spinning at major concerts, celebrity events, and industry parties, DJ Skum Love recently served as the DJ for David Draiman's wedding, further cementing his reputation as one of the most recognizable DJs in the rock community. His carefully curated soundtrack had guests—from industry veterans to lifelong friends—packed onto the dance floor until the final song.

For Raquel, the guest list reflected a career built on genuine friendships rather than industry networking.

"I've been fortunate enough to spend more than two decades working with incredible artists, managers, photographers, promoters, journalists, designers, and musicians," said Raquel. "Some of my closest friends came into my life through rock and heavy metal. Brian and I wanted our wedding to celebrate those friendships as much as our marriage. By the end of the night, everyone—from family to rock stars—felt like one family."

From couture fashion and luxury design to spontaneous jam sessions and unforgettable performances, the Bell wedding proved that hard rock and heavy metal aren't simply genres of music—they're a community built on loyalty, friendship, and showing up for one another when it matters most.

This wasn't just a wedding.

It was the ultimate rock family reunion. Other rockstars in attendance included Gabriel Connor and LLuis Kalil from Red Devil Vortex and Joe Taback, guitarista nd vocalist of the band B.I.A.S.
