(LOS ANGELES – February, 2024) --The Los Angeles Police Museum proudly presents the 2024 Jack Webb Awards Gala at the JW Marriott - LA LIVE on Saturday evening, February 10, 2024. The 2024 honorees are three outstanding community leaders – Jordan L. Kaplan, President/CEO of Douglas Emmett, Inc. recognizing his commitment to law enforcement; LAPD Police Commission President Dr. Erroll G. Southers, Assoc. Sr. VP Safety and Risk Assurance at USC; and Christine Devine, Emmy Award-winning Fox 11 News Anchor and children’s advocate. We will be joined by our host Gary Cole, star of CBS’ NCIS, LAPD Chief of Police Michel Moore, boxing Icon Sugar Ray Leonard, Captain Ann Young, LAPD Ret’d; with members of the LAPD Command Staff, entertainment, political and business communities also attending.
The Jack Webb Awards is the primary source of revenue for the 501(c)(3) non-profit Los Angeles Police Museum organization and programs in the community. The event’s net proceeds provide much-needed funding to further our mission to collect, preserve, exhibit and interpret the history of the Los Angeles Police Department as we strive to expand community outreach programs for our youth – one of which is Dr. Jane Goodall’s Roots and Shoots program empowering young people to affect positive change in their communities. Our museum has become a nationally recognized destination for residents and tourists alike to view exhibits, vintage uniforms, antique badges, and more of the most storied police department in modern history – and your support will help us continue to do so.
The evening begins with a red-carpet cocktail reception and silent auction at 6:00pm; followed by a gourmet dinner, live auction, and award presentations.
