LAUDABLE WILLIAM SHATNER TO HOST RETURN OF THE JACK WEBB AWARDS GALA BENEFITTING THE LOS ANGELES POLICE MUSEUM, GALA TO TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY, AUGUST 20TH

 After a three-year absence, the Jack Webb Awards Gala benefitting the Los Angeles Police Museum is making a grand re-entrance with award-winning actor William Shatner as the host. The Gala honors law enforcement officers in fostering and maintaining safe communities. This year’s honorees are California State Senate Business/Community Leader, Robert “Bob” Herzberg; LAPD Reserve Officer, Steve Robinson; and Political and Communications Consultant, Frank Luntz. Chief of Police Michel Moore, Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton, and other special guests will also be attending the Gala.

The Jack Webb Awards Gala recognizes the leading, influential life of Jack Webb, an actor whose portrayal of an LAPD police officer in the 1950s-1970s led him to be included in academy training videos and considered one of the LAPD’s own. Hundreds of business leaders, law enforcement personnel, political dignitaries, entertainment personalities, and philanthropists are expected to attend the Gala this year to celebrate Jack Webb and acknowledge the storied history of the LAPD.

The Jack Webb Awards Gala will take place at 6pm on August 20th at the L.A. Live JW Marriot Hotel and feature a red-carpet cocktail reception, museum displays, a silent auction, gourmet dinner, live auction, and award presentations. The Gala is a primary source of revenue for The Los Angeles Police Museum, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the rich history of the LAPD through special exhibits and timeless artifacts to preserve, showcase and interpret the history of one of the most influential police departments in the United States.
